What is rake?

What is "Total Rake" or "Net Revenue"?

Each poker room may have a different term for "Total Rake" or "Net Revenue", but it is essentially the total rake paid by you as calculated by the poker room. When Best Rakeback pays your rakeback, it is always a percentage of your Net Revenue.

What is a Rakeback Provider?

A rakeback provider advertises online for a poker site or a group of poker sites. Rakeback providers receive a percentage of the Total Rake for each one of their players. Best Rakeback then gives this payment from the poker room, in the form of rakeback, back to you the poker player.

How do I get rakeback through Best Rakeback?

The first step is creating an account with Best Rakeback. This has absolutely no obligation and also gives you access to our private members area. Log into your newly created account with Best Rakeback and select the poker room(s) you are interested in receiving rakeback from. Follow the sign up instructions and within a few minutes you can start playing poker and earning rakeback!

How much rakeback could I receive?

This depends on the poker room you sign up with (Full Tilt Poker rakeback is 27% while FatBet is 50%!) and also how much you play. It is possible for regular players to receive several hundred dollars a month in rakeback - this can make a huge difference to your overall winrate and is therefore essential for a serious poker player.

I only want to play low stakes, do I still need rakeback?

Absolutely! At lower stakes players pay a higher percentage of the overall pot as rake, therefore getting rakeback can make a huge difference to your monthly earnings playing poker. 'Bad Beats' and 'Coolers' can take their toll on both a poker player's bankroll and their mental state but rakeback provides a guaranteed source of income that helps to reduce the overall variance of playing poker.

How often are my Rakeback stats updated on Best Rakeback?

You can expect daily updates on nearly all of your rakeback stats. If a particular poker room doesn't update daily we will display a note of this. Sometimes delays do occur with the rakeback stats updating, but these are normally out of our control and very rarely last more than one or two days.

If I signup for Rakeback can I still get Bonuses at a poker room?

Yes! You will still receive bonuses from the poker room and any other promotions offered by the poker room or Best Rakeback if you receive rakeback from Best Rakeback. Bonuses will be deducted from your Total Rake, but you will receive more money with both rakeback AND bonuses than either by themselves.

How often do I get paid my rakeback?

Payments are made once a month, normally during the second week, for the previous month's rakeback that is due to you. Eg if you have earned $500 in rakeback in March, you will receive this in April. We always do our best to pay your rakeback by the 15th of each month however certain poker sites will automatically make your rakeback payment direct to your poker account. In some cases the rakeback payment will be made later than the 15th due to the poker site's rakeback payment schedule.

Note: You must have a rake back balance of $20 or more from the previous month in order to receive your rake back payment. If you are owed less than that, it will be carried over to the following month and will paid once your total has reached $20.
