Full Tilt Poker Review
Full Tilt Poker (FTP) is at the time of writing the second largest poker website on the internet after Pokerstars. Established in 2004, it has grown rapidly in popularity since its inception due to its dedication to Poker and only Poker.
Some of the biggest names in Poker today play at the website from Patrik Antonius, Phil Ivey and Chris Ferguson to the new breed of online players like Tom 'Durrrr' Dwan.
Unlike other poker websites sharing the same software platform/client, FT is totally independent and has developed its software independently.

POSITIVES
Large selection of games
The large number of games available at FT is a huge plus for this poker room. The ability to play more specialist poker games list Razz and Stud, together with the large variety of mixed games on offer like H.O.R.S.E and H.O.S.E which are combinations of the more popular card games of Holdem, Hi-Lo, 7 Card Stud / 7 Card Stud Hi-Low and Razz really does make Full Tilt stand out from the crowd.
Player Traffic
One of the problems for less established sites is getting players to visit and keep playing on their websites. When people start to leave, it makes it more difficult for the remaining players to have a game which after a while encouraged them to seek playing elsewhere. This is definitely NOT a problem FT has. Even at its most scarce, FT will still have over 15,000 players online at any one time... numbers newer sites can just about reach at peak times. The advantage to the members of FT is obvious... play the kind of game you want when you want at the limits you want.

Features
As mentioned above, Full Tilt Poker uses privately developed software and it is an absolute dream to play on. It works for both Mac and windows platform and the sheer number of options available to personalize your playing experience are phenomenal.
You can change everything from table layout, avatar, change the colour of the deck, Tile the tables for multi-tabling (maximum of 8 at a time) as well as re-sizing the tables as you please.
One of the really nice touches is the View Last hand option when you are sat at a table. This enables you to reply the last 50 hands you were involved in and is very useful for quick checks on what your opponents are playing against you.
Another useful feature to highlight is the ability to set up default values for your buy-in and rebuys at the cash table. This saves you missing hands and the trouble of having to do things by hand if things go pair shaped for you early on in a session.
The last thing that I think needs highlighting is the ability to transfer money to your friends on Full Tilt. This is a nice touch as you will be able to easily front a friend if their luck is running low or you can ask a friend to do the same for you if things are particularly tight this month.
Deposit / Withdraw
This part of the website has been very nicely designed and works very well. There is a variety of payment options that are all clearly labels and easy to see:
- Debit/Credit Card
- American Express / Diners Club / Solo
- NETELLER
- Moneybookers
- Paysafecard
Bonuses
There is a generous deposit bonus of up to $600, however often enough FT will offer a reload bonus as well as bonuses relating to the number of player points you accrue each day. 1 Full Tilt Point is given for each $ of rake taken by Full tilt in situations where a player has been dealt into a hand.
Full tilt points can be exchange in the Full Tilt store for merchandising or electrical goods. They have even opened a different shop for its European brethren.
Other
FT is big on educating the players who frequent its tables. There is regular advice from one of other 30 Full time professional poker players as well as affiliations with online poker coaching and general advice on the game (Cardrunners).
NEGATIVES
There really are no negatives about this poker room. If anything it has become a victim of its own success. Some people say the standard of play is higher here just because of the emphasis they put on being a winning player and the resources they provide so that their users can become one.
From my experience there is an element of truth to the above, but I think it is balanced out by the constant influx of new poker players to the website. FT is one of the most heavily advertised websites across all media and will always receive its fair share of new players.
I should also highlight something about their withdrawal policy. Once you have registered 2 Bank cards they refuse to allow you to register a third. It's not the end of the world as it's easy enough to set up a Neteller account, but worth mentioning nonetheless.
